Council is seeking comment on the revised draft Community Engagement Policy STR-PL-520 and supporting Community Engagement Matrix and Toolkit.

This discussion forum seeks feedback and suggestions to provide input into Council's engagement framework. The amended draft policy and supporting documents can viewed by clicking on the links below:

­ *   Revised draft Community Engagement Policy (changes from previous version are highlighted)
­ *   Revised draft Community Engagement Matrix

In reviewing Council’s community engagement approach a range of research and community engagement activities were undertaken to collect feedback on the current processes and identify suggestions for improvement. These supporting documents include:

­ *   Community Engagement Toolkit
­ *   Research paper Feb 2010 – Community Engagement telephone survey
­ *   Research summary March 2010 – focus group input

The community discussion on the forum will not be considered as a formal submission but will enable the community to debate and discuss key points prior to submitting a formal submission if required (refer to FAQ).

Formal submissions can be sent to the General Manager, Warringah Council, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why NSW 2099 or emailed to council@warringah.nsw.gov.au.
