The Talk of the Town results indicate most participants prefer additional dwellings to be provided in existing centres.  The top four centres identified in the initial analysis of the Talk of the Town results were: Narraweena, Manly Vale, Frenchs Forest and Forestville.  What needs to be taken into consideration when planning for additional dwellings in these centres?

Allowing dual occupancy development was supported by 72% of the participants.  We know from past experience that some dual occupancy developments are better than others.

What do you think makes a successful dual occupancy?

What are the critical factors that need to be taken into consideration?

Should the subdivision of dual occupancies be allowed?

The community was divided on whether the development of non-urban land (land release) should be pursued to meet the housing target.  Terrey Hills was the most popular location identified by participants for land release.  Would you support land release in Terrey Hills and what are your reasons?

Participants sent a clear message that additional dwellings would not be supported in coastal locations, particularly in the existing centres of Dee Why, Narrabeen, Collaroy and Freshwater.  What do you think makes an area unsuitable for further development?
